New Dimensions is bringing in the new thoughts. Rumi, one of my favorite poets, through Coleman Barks as his translator, says,
Reach your long hands out to another door, beyond where
you go on the street, the street
where everyone says, "How are you?"
and no one says How aren’t you?

New Dimensions is asking us to go beyond 'what we know,' the how are you, that you already know about yourself, into the 'how aren’t yo' of the possible self, the possible vision, the possible perception of what’s happening now in the world, and what could happen in the future, if we have the courage and vision, and wisdom, and love to dream it.

A SEVEN-WEEK JOURNEY TO LOVE with KATHERINE WOODWARD THOMAS
Program #3304 - Buy Now ($1.99/MP3 Download)
Full Program Description

Topics Explored in this Dialogue:
  • What a soul mate really is
  • What stops most people from finding real love
  • Why your own beliefs may be sabotaging your ability to find your mate
  • How simple it can be to remove your own obstacles to love
  • How you can access your own power to create an entirely new experience of relationship

Have you given up hope of ever finding the love of your life? Or do your friends consider you a hopeless romantic, the eternal optimist who believes your soul mate is out there somewhere, despite evidence to the contrary?

Still single at age forty-one, Katherine Woodward Thomas made a commitment to be engaged to her true love on her forty-second birthday. She succeeded, and now she can teach you to overcome the obstacles that keep you from finding the life-enhancing partnership you imagine is possible.

She explains, "Most of us are really yearning for the kind of love that's literally outside of our past experience, outside of anything we've seen modeled, and outside our sense of ourselves. So we have to go to a very deep level and ask questions about the beliefs we have about ourselves and others, and start to make them conscious. Once we do, we can actually re-choose a whole new future." (Hosted by Craig Hamilton). To learn more about the work of Katherine Woodward Thomas go to www.callingintheone.com

Katherine Woodward Thomas, M.A., M.F.T., is founder and co-director of CallingInTheOne.net, which offers teleclasses on the Calling in "The One" Process. A PREMONITION ABOUT PREMONITIONS with LARRY DOSSEY
Program #3313 - Buy Now ($1.99/MP3 Download)
Full Program Description

Topics Explored in this Dialogue:
  • What you can do to enhance your intuitive powers
  • Why precognition may have evolutionary benefits for our species
  • Why having a premonition can give your life a new sense of purpose
  • Why the four planes that crashed on 9/11 were eighty percent vacant
  • How you can invite premonitions into your life, and make them more likely to show up

More than half the population has reported having a dream or intuition that later came true. Dr. Larry Dossey has examined thousands of anecdotes along with the growing mountain of research, and brings amazing stories, compelling data, and fascinating theories about what it all means for us as individuals, and as a species.

You'll hear about the fifteen choir members, who just happened to show up late the night the church exploded and the woman who won the lottery because of a dream premonition—twice. But for Dr. Dossey these are much more than great water cooler stories. Collectively, he sees them as one more clue that we're all connected, each of us part of a great continuum that extends beyond space and time.

He explains, "We are agonizing our way into a new model of consciousness. We're going to finally outlive this materialistic, reductionistic idea of equating consciousness purely with the brain. There are many categories of evidence favoring premonitions. We're going to have a model of consciousness that is nonlocal, pointing toward immortality, eternality, and an essentially spiritual view of who we are." To learn more about the work of Larry Dossey go to www.dosseydossey.com.

Larry Dossey, M.D., is the executive editor of Explore: The Journal of Science and Healing, and served as co-chair of the Panel on Mind/Body Interventions of the NIH Office of Alternative Medicine. Dr. Dossey is the author of numerous articles and eleven books, including Prayer is Good Medicine: How to Reap the Healing Benefits of Prayer (HarperOne 1997) and The Power of Premonitions: How Knowing the Future Can Shape Our Lives (Dutton 2009).

A HEALING ALLIANCE WITH ANIMALS & THE EARTH with DEENA METZGER
Program #3314 - Buy Now ($1.99/MP3 Download)
Full Program Description

Topics Explored in this Dialogue:
  • How the spiritual intelligence of elephants can benefit us
  • How enemies can become allies through story
  • How to be guided by a dream circle
  • Why we need to heal the medicine of our culture
  • What you can do today to join with the animals and the earth to heal yourself and our planet

"What does it really mean to live in the spirit of 'all our relations'? What does it really mean to live a no-enemy way, to walk in a field of allies? And what does it mean to live on behalf of the future?" These are the questions asked—and answered— by beloved poet, storyteller, and healer Deena Metzger in this deeply moving conversation.

Through more than four decades of living in alliance with the earth and its creatures, she has learned how to listen to what they have to say, and to heed the signs and teachings they offer. She shares amazing stories of her encounters with animals, who reached beyond their wildness to make contact with humans, and the message of hope they conveyed. She applies her medicine woman wisdom to problems with our medical system, nuclear proliferation, war, and much more. What emerges is a renewed sense of possibility, and the conviction that each of us can be a facilitator of healing and peace. (Hosted by Justine Willis Toms)

Deena Metzger is a poet, storyteller, and medicine woman. She is co-founder of the Los Angeles Daré, devoted to supporting individual and community healing through council gatherings, alliance with spirit and the natural world, dream work, and storytelling. Ms. Metzger is the author of many books, including Ruin and Beauty: New and Selected Poems (Red Hen Press 2009), Entering the Ghost River: Meditations on the Theory and Practice of Healing (Hand to Hand 2002), and co-author with Linda Hogan and Brenda Peterson of Intimate Nature: The Bond Between Women and Animals (Ballantine 1999). FROM OPPRESSION SPRINGS SAFETY, COMMUNITY, AND HOPE with WILL KEEPIN, PhD, SISTER LUCY KURIEN, & CHAYA PAMULA
Program #3311 - Buy Now ($1.99/MP3 Download)
Full Program Description

Topics Explored in this Dialogue:
  • How healing can overcome boundaries of religion, culture, and even caste
  • Why the suicide rate of teenage Indian girls is twenty-two times that of other teenage girls
  • What we have lost in the west, and how to recover it
  • Why fostering literacy can help end the cycle of abuse

In 1991 a young woman came to Sister Lucy Kurien seeking refuge from her husband's threats to kill her. With no resources available, Sister Lucy sent the woman away with a promise to help the next day. That night the raging husband set fire to his wife, burning her and her unborn child alive.

It took six years of unwavering determination, but Sister Lucy set out to create Maher, a model refuge for abused women and children in India. At Maher they receive shelter, food, and medicine—but also love, and the support of a community that can sustain them for a lifetime. And now, Sister Lucy stands strong at the center of a safety net that defies raging husbands, corrupt government officials, and the institutionalized degradation of women.

Through Maher she is changing the culture of oppression that pervades her country, and her pioneering work is sending ripples of hope throughout the world as others follow in her footsteps. As Sister Kurien tells us, "It's not only that we look after women and children, but we also work to see how women and children will not need a home like Maher."

Sister Lucy Kurien is founder of Maher, which has provided refuge to more than 1400 women, half of whom would likely have been murdered, committed suicide, or starved to death. Chaya Pamula was inspired by Sister Lucy to found Sofkin, a support organization for needy children in India. Will Keepin, PhD is co-director of Satyana Institute's Power of Reconciliation Project, and co-author of Women Healing Women: A Model of Hope for Oppressed Women Everywhere (Hohm Press 2009).. To learn more about Maher go to www.maherashram.org; for Chaya Pamula go to www.sofkin.org; for Will Keepin go to www.satyana.org

Do You Love Movies?

Spiritual Cinema CircleMichael and I love to watch movies. It is a magical art-form. They inform, inspire, and touch the heart and soul in so many ways.

Did you know that many visionary, soulful movies are made every year but never get into the theaters? Independent, spiritual filmmakers are creating movies with heart and soul, movies that really matter. Until now, though, hardly anybody got to see them.

Spiritual Cinema Circle® is a DVD club that sends out 4 features and short films in the mail each month on DVD. You keep the DVDs. The movies you get are full-length features, both dramas and comedies, short films, and documentaries on mind-opening subjects. They are about many different subjects, but they all share common elements: All our movies are carefully-chosen to provide genuine nourishment for the heart and soul, a much-needed nutrient at a time when more and more Hollywood movies are violent, profane and devoid of meaning. These movies inspire wonder, insight, deep feeling and transcendence. Above all, they make you feel better about being a human being.

Consider joining Spiritual Cinema Circle by using the link below. You can start with a free trial.
