Program Description
One of the most inspiring teachers of our time shares the very simple keys to bringing spiritual presence into our everyday lives. Eckhart Tolle goes beyond the realm of religion to speak the truths that lie at the core of every ancient teaching, in terms that make sense in today’s world. He explains how each of us has the ability to break through the distractions and busyness of our society and become fully conscious and awake-right here, today. “There are moments everyday in your life when you’re aware, but not thinking,” he explains. “Suddenly you look at that tree-there are two or three seconds before you call it a tree. It is that dimension out of which comes a sense of aliveness, peace, and well-being.”
Eckhart Tolle was born in Germany, graduated from the University of London, and was a research scholar at Cambridge University. At the age of 29 a profound spiritual transformation radically changed the course of his life, and marked the beginning of an intense inward journey. For the past ten years he has been a counselor and spiritual teacher throughout Europe and North America. His books include Stillness Speaks (New World Library 2003), Practicing The Power of Now (New World Library 1999 ), The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment (New World Library 1999), and the widely acclaimed A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose ((New World Library 2008).
