There are now some 43 million women in America over 50. With the help of goddess archetypes that every woman can cultivate within herself – older women can revolutionize the way they live and the way they are seen by society. A Jungian analyst and clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of California at San Francisco, Bolen is the author of Goddesses in Every Woman (Harper, 1984), The Millionth Circle (Conari Press, 1999) and Goddesses in Older Women: Archetypes in Women Over 50 (HarperCollins, 2001).
