Program Description

Peggy Rubin encourages us to view our lives from the perspective of a theatrical performance, incorporating many different characters, and audiences. We are the primary actors in the play of our own lives. We do this through vocal and physical expression, changing our point of view, and confronting conflict, all in this precious moment of now, exactly as in the theatre. She says, “I understand and honor the traditions that say the present moment also holds the codes for the future. It is really joyful to be totally aware of the present moment. This is one of the most potent things about the theatre itself. It is one of the things I draw on to ask people to look at in their lives. What is happening in this moment and to be aware of it.” (hosted by Michael Toms)
