Product Description

Within each of us are four fundamental archetypes–King, Warrior, Magician and Lover–which Robert Moore describes as “programs for human emotional, behavioral and mental functioning.” These archetypes need to be recognized and integrated into our lives for us to achieve maturity and self-realization. He speaks of how the men’s gatherings that he presents, along with Robert Bly and Michael Meade, help men to access these parts of themselves, and he describes the Gulf War as an illustration of how these archetypes function in human actions.

Moore is a psychoanalyst with the C.G. Jung Institute of Chicago, professor of psychology and religion at Chicago Theological Seminary, and co-author, with Douglas Gillette, of King, Warrior, Magician and Lover (Harper Collins 1990).
