Program Description: Matthew Fox has had his finger on the pulse of western spirituality for decades. He explains, "The modern age taught us that the universe was a machine, that the sky was just a junkyard for inert, mechanical, cold, dead parts. But, he says, that's all about to change, as men begin to claim their role as protectors of Mother Earth. He encourages men to redefine the way they relate to the planet, their children, even their sexuality. Dr. Fox's vision is one of hope and imagination, and a masculine spirituality that is about "living your life out of your deep values system and your deepest experiences of joy and grief and the struggle for justice."
Matthew Fox, Ph.D., was a member of the Dominican Order of the Catholic Church for thirty-four years, and holds a doctorate in History and Theology of Spirituality from L'Institut Catholique de Paris. He is a scholar in residence with the Academy for the Love of Learning in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and founder and president of Friends of Creation Spirituality. Dr. Fox is the author of twenty-eight books, including Original Blessing: A Primer in Creation Spirituality Presented in Four Paths, Twenty-Six Themes, and Two Questions (Tarcher 2000), One River, Many Wells (Tarcher 2004), and The Hidden Spirituality of Men: Ten Metaphors to Awaken the Sacred Masculine (New World Library 2008).
