Taking Back Our Democracy with Steve Bhaerman AKA Swami Beyondananda

Steve-BhaermanBhaerman discloses the current political landscape and how may we move beyond our present polarized positions. He believes that we won’t get to a new political culture by bringing opposites together in their differences, but to jump over those differences and find the virtues and values that 95% of Americans have in common. He says, ”The only thing that will make a difference is a unified moral authority of ‘We the people’ recognizing that we are the sovereign and that we have been divided and conquered. We must now gather around the virtues and values that we have in common and reestablish new governance. And this is governance by inference.” (hosted by Justine Willis Toms)

Steve Bhaerman is an author, humorist, and workshop leader. He’s also known as Swami Beyondananda, the “Cosmic Comic.”  He’s the author, with Bruce Lipton, of Spontaneous Evolution: Our Positive Future and a Way to Get There From Here (Hay House 2009), and co-author with Joseph McCormick of Reuniting America: A Toolkit for Changing the Political Game (Samsara Press 2011). This is a very interesting observation… However, visions of where this country should be are very clear. The question is why these visions are not shared truthfully with the American people. Why, because the outcome of these visions are very damaging to the prosperity of the American people. Money has divided politics and the prosperity of the American people. It is not about “We the people…,” but it is about greed and domination on mass. Income disparity, cost of living, minimum wage control, and jobs deterioration is a very clear vision that this country, USA, is headed toward a slavery economy. The policies (propaganda dissemination, eliminate/reduce society program, cutback education funding, eliminate workers right to challenge corporate greed, taxation policies that favors the population segment that controls 90% of USA wealth and severely working class people) that are being promoted and funded by the right wing conservative party support the notion that if “We the people…” do not get money out of politics, creation of a federal government that eliminates career politicians, promotes equity distribution on income, and eliminate the competing political parties we are headed in direction that will be damaging to mankind.
